Golf consumed a large chunk of Friday. I played Templar Park off the blue T's with 5 friends, and for the first time since November 2007, I never got a single par!. This course is Japanese designed and managed, and therefore like most Japanese courses it is measured in yards. However having played this course quite a number of times before, I knew it plays very long. In fact most people find that if you assume meters where the distance is indicated, and select a club accordingly you will probably be about right.
Five of us showered and adjourned to the Royal Selangor Club Annex, near the Bukit Kiara Club and had a very enjoyable lunch and a few beverages.
On Saturday I finally managed to finish the 'tweaks' to my mountain bike and it is now ready for the trails again.
Later I had a swim with my youngest boy. Actually it was more of 'wading through the pool' whilst flinging a tennis ball back and forth to each other.
Now that I am Chairman of our Condominium's Joint Management Committee, I decided to check through the draft minutes of our most recent committee meeting. Why does a secretary compose minutes in a spreadsheet?? I would have thought a word document type of software would be much more appropriate!
A visit to the Mall, some food at Mr Ho's and a bit of shopping rounded off the day.
I promised not to watch the lady's final of Wimbledon, as I knew a Williams sister was going to win, however I did watch a couple of games and the presentation ceremony.
I also needed to know who was on 'Pole' for the F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone, before a radio newscaster spoiled it for me, so I watched the earlier recording. Good result for Kovalainen (half a second faster that Webber in the 'Red Bull'. The latter was the biggest surprise of the two, given the performance of that team to date and the fact that Coulthard could only finish 11th in his final British Grand Prix race. He just announced this week-end that his will be his very last F1 season!
Today had a lazy start, but then did 50kms on my road bike along the M/C lane of the Federal Highway.
Later carried out a few 'long over due' tasks around the house, and tonight we are having dinner
with some friends at their place in PJ.
